Are any of the headlight housings a direct fit onto my car? 2000 A6 C5 Avant 2.8.

I've been looking at several different styles and A3 and A4 light styles are much more plentiful.

My front end to clarify.

 

You have a skinny body pre-facelift. Only other skinny a6 (v6, pre 01) will fit. All Allroad headlights will also fit afaik. These have a "blackout" housing vs the a6 chrome housing. There are also generic ebay versions that exist, I have no experience with those, but would not purchase one myself.

 

Naa Not going to go cheap. My housings are really scuffed and I'm considering simply replacing them instead of trying to polish them clear again.

 

i don't think that the ones from the allroad will fit because if i remember right, the allroad was based on the same platform as the widebody 4.2 a6.

Well if you don't want to go cheap LLTek has some pretty tight clear corner HID headlights for bout $500 a piece. Would look good with your silver Avant. Anything A6 from 98-01 will fit. I dunno what to say about the allroad. Black ones would look cool as long as they don't look like the cheap Ebay ones. I've seen the generic headlights on an S4 and they look like doo-doo after a few months. I would either just polish them or get OEM replacements.
