Default RE: wheel question

The last car I had was a passat. I ended up having to put studs in for my rims, and after a year or so they started to snap. Personally I would stay away from them Unless you know a reputable company that makes them.

Default RE: wheel question

I have been running studs that I bought from a local tire shop for over a year and have not had any problems with them breaking. It also makes it much easier to mount your wheels on the car. A possible cause of studs or bolts breaking is that people are running wheels with too large of a centering hole in them. This puts a side load on the studs or bolts rather than just a tension load. Make sure to get wheels with the correct size centering hole or get adapters to make up the difference.
