Default Where to buy o2 simulators for 00 4.2

Ihad a very noisey cat that has now failed. No exhaust pressure out one side of exhaust. There is no way I'm pay $1600 for a oem replacement. I've been looking around for o2 simulators for this car (00 4.2) and cant find any. I want to cut out my cats and resonater. Have any of you guys used simulators with good success? Where did you get them from?

try http://convertergeek.com -- call them and ask about diff kinds they have. If you've used BG 44K to no avail, you have few options. Their pricing is from $350 - 600 per cat for the 2000 A6 4.2. Much cheaper than OEM.

Good luck!

I know exactly how you feel. Call Meineke. I have not yet, but found out on this forum some people who have successfully had cats installed (2) for $500-600. Not stock cats, but brand new and damn cheap comparitively.

Good luck!

simulators will not work. The motronic system will pick up on them and give you a cel just the same. Get some non fowlers for the car 420002 is the part # they have been working just fine for me
