Default Where in the "heck" does this go??????

I took my starter out 2-months ago, now I don't remember where this little eyelet connector attaches. Any ideas 2000, A6 4.2?
Thanks,
Jackson

My guess would be anywhere where it's ground....

I have never seen one of those on a vehicle, and it NOT being a ground....

Default not it

There is no continuity between this eyelet and ground. That's what really has me puzzled. If I had continuity, I could connect it to any number of places on the block. I must be getting senile. The answer is right in front of me, I know it. I'm just not looking in the right place.
I mean, this wire is only 3-inches long, that's as far away from the starter as it could possibly get!

OMG, what a dumass. Goes to the alternator, I disconnected it from the alternator because it shared a common wire loom going to the starter. OK, I'll take photos next time I plan on leaving a project for weeks or months at a time. Sorry for taking up space!
I know it's just 1's and 0's, but someday, we're bound to run out.
