Default Where is the oil filter???

Okay, I'm stupid, but I still need to change my filter. Where is the filter on a 2005 4.2? I apologise but I feel I have looked everywhere? Thanks

You see it? It is black and toward the bottom back of it.

Now on your car, there might be all kinds of protective crap. But that is where it is supposed to be.

You have to remove the plastic cover toward the back on top of the engine near the coolant resevoir. You'll see the cover with a spot for a socket. Remove that cover and pull out the old filter element. Installation is reverse of removal.
