Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 a6 2.7t. I just bought the car and the engine light on the scanner said an o2 sensor and i replaced it and thats all set. The temp guage wasnt working so I replaced the ect sensor and now that works. Now Im getting a P1296 code which is a cooling system error. Also I have an ABS light that goes on intermittently, it will shut itself off but will come on again and again. This is just the abs light there is no flashing brake light going along with it so I dont think its the ABS module. What are your thoughts? I think Im going to get the cooling system flushed out to make sure theres no blockages.

 

Vagcom will read ABS code. It could be simple as loose wheel sensor wiring or it can be more involved... can't really tell without the code.

As for the cooling system error, did you install the CTS correctly? Check the wiring one more time.
