Default why does my car shake?????!!!!

ok i got my audi back from a somewhat minor accident. I was making a left turn and I crashed. Had to replace the rear subframe, front tie rods, rear left suspension, and rims of course. But the promblem with my car shaking did it before the crash so i doubt it had anything to do with it. My car shakes from 45 to about 55/60 but before that and after that it drives just fine. Can I get any suggestions, tips, common problems, anything. This problem is very annoying.

When I bought my car it had some aftermarket Enkei wheels on it that required spacers to fit the hub diameter properly. It also had a set of Pirelli tires on it that looked fairly new. It always had some vibration and I thought it was the tires until we replaced them and the problem didn't go away. It wasn't until I put a set of stock Audi wheels on it that the vibration disappeared.

One other thing I've noticed that caused vibration was when the passenger side front axle shaft wore out and the CV joint got loose. How many miles do you have on it?

Where does it shake, the steering wheel or the seat? Steering wheel is the front end, seat the rear. Try taking the wheels off and putting them back on. When you tighten the wheel bolts back on, do it in a criss cross pattern. While you have the front wheels off, look at the control arms and tie rod ends. If the rubber is shot, that could be causing some vibration.

I had a similar incident in January, just busted up the front driver's side though. All new suspension parts/wheel up there now. I had had a little steering shake before but a good balance and alignment really minimized it.

Since having the accident, steering shake has been a little more pronounced, comes and goes at certain speeds, but it really isn't too bad so I'm learning to live with it.
