I have an A6 Quattro 2.8 on a 2000 plate, everytime i try to get parts for it they cant find them. This has happened a few times, for the exhaust it has twin boxes a the back they only had it listed as twin pipes on a single box, same with the gasket for the rocker cover. One more thing does anyone know where i can get a cheap regulator for the drivers door,or can i just change the cable?

For window regulator look up Shokan.com or Force5Auto.com. Also you may be able to search on EBay. I came across fairly decent priced regulators in the past...especially as of late.

Concerning the exaust parts, try RockAuto.com:
If by "box" you mean the muffler, then they have what you're looking for.
Left side - BOSAL Part # 279999 - $ 288.79
Right Side - BOSAL Part # 279997 - idem

ATQ engine; for all the other engine codes they don't offer an "Exhaust" parts category.

good luck

If you are having window problems, then the clips are probably bad. 9 out of 10 times, the regulators are fine.

Where are you trying to get parts anyways?

In 2000 and 2001, the "C5" A6 was on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list. This new A6 was available with a wide range of engines and configurations. The 30-valve 2.4 and 2.8 V6 engines represented the bulk of the A6's development programme...

North American C5 A6 models received the 2.8 litre, 30-valve V6 engine, the 2.7 litre "biturbo" V6 (also found in the B5 platform S4), and the 4.2 litre 40-valve V8 petrol engines.
