Hello all! I'm new to the Forums here and i just bought an 2005 A6 Quattro. It'll be mine on Monday! And anyway i was looking at these headlights Here: 05 08 Audi A6 Black Projector Headlights Daytime DRL LED Running Lights Lamps | eBay

And it says that they won't fit Quattro's! Anyone know why?...

My guess because these have the H7 bulbs and you may have to use the xenon which your car already have them and maybe have convert it.

 

How can they be converted?

 

Do you have xenons in your car? If so, then you might only need an adapter to hold D2S bulbs in the H7 reflector.


This is my guess. It's hard to tell without seeing the inside of the headlight in regards to what bulb you have and what the other one looks like.

It's not that simple. The xenon AFS can't be downgraded, unless you replace the module and harness. Find someone who would want to do the exchange for xenon.

 

No it's ok. I just found some LED lights strips that I'm going to put under the headlights. What do you guys think about these? Audi A5 R8 Style LED Strip Lights | LED Headlights | LED Driving Lights

 

Sorry but I think they look cheap and f..ugly.

 

Well I want the headlights to look like the new models, LED lights... Got any suggestions?
