I went to a shop in my city and found pentosin steering fluid. Thinking it would be the right one. I asked the guy at the desk if it was the right one and said it was....but i came home and looked it up i think its the wrong kinda. i have a 96 audi a6 quattro. The fluid is green...is it going to ruin my pump????? need advice asap. thanks!

 

i bought pentosin CHF 202..blue cap if that helps.

No, it will not ruin your PS pump. The PS pumps are pretty resilent and can handle a bit of the wrong fluid (not to say you have the wrong fluid, you probably have the correct fluid).
