Wind down noise when shutting off
Okay...I just purchased an '04 A6 Quattro a week ago. One thing I've noticed when shutting the car off is that there is a wind down noise coming from the engine compartment. So...I popped the hood and cut the car off so I could pin point where the noise was coming from. From what I could hear, it sounds like it orignates from the cooling fan mounted on the radiator. Is this noise normal, or is it indicitive of the fan motor getting ready to die on me?
Feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

G man,
What year is yours, how long have you had it and has it been making that noise for as long as you can remember? Sorry for the barrage of questions, just wanna make sure it's something normal or something I need to keep an eye on. Thanks!

LOL -- Most Audi's have electric radiator fans that are controlled by a thermostat. When you stop the vehicle the fan continues to run a bit until it cools down. It runs longer after hard driving. It is a good sound.
My 89 200QT had an additional water pump in addition to the radiator fans that circulated water thru the turbo after I stopped. It was a good sound also....
