window regulator replacement help!
Hello everyone i have a 2000 audi a6 4.2 and the cable snapped on my driver side window. I think the motor is still good but i have to replace the regulator. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone have a detail how to? If i can put it in do i have to adjust anything ? Please help any info will help.

Are you sure it is the cable, not just the clips? Chefro's link is for clip replacement. Most likely the clips are the issue, not the cable.

I have an issue with the cable as well. My problem is the green plastic that "holds" the cable in place before one of the pulleys.

I have ordered this about a week ago...still awaiting delivery, but its from Turkey. So, you can try $20-30 here or go the $$$ route. I can let everyone know how it goes...

I wish people would say where they are from. Might mean something costs little versus big bucks.
I posted above about going to a boneyard and buying an entire inner door panel, my case 45 bucks, entire inner panel up to the top of the window, regulator included, no glass, no motor, that goes 75.
Once you got the inner liner off, 4 bolts to take out the frame work, change out the motor and the glass and reassemble.
Check out your local Foreign boneyard.
