Default windows. need advice

Both of my front windows will go down with ease but do not like coming back up and most of the time i have to pull them back up with my hand. it will go about half way then just automatically just drop back down on its on or just stop moving up. then i have to push it up and its a pain in the ***.. does anybody know what that could be or how i could fix it WITHOUT taking it to the dealership and paying out the *** for it?

I head it could just be the wire connections and was told to spray them with electrical cleaner but that doesnt seem like thats the problem.

Most likely the window tracks are dirty and need cleaning/regreasing. Could be regulators getting weak, but hard to see both going at once.

most likely the cable running your regulator has jumped off track or The swedge on the cable has came out of the little notch at the anchor point or the clips have broken that hold the window in place. Remove the door panel and look with a mirror at the cable and inspect your clips the panel is easy to remove its kinda hard to see the cable but you can see it using a mirror.

I vote for the regulator clips. They are about $7.50 each and you will need 4 of them for both sides. (2 per side) Takes about 30 minutes on each side to replace them.

Hey RedLine,
I have the same prom, intermittent, w/ driver side. A spray of silicon into the channels
has cured the prob. Alot easier than taking panels off.

Go out and buy a can of silicone spray at the hardware store. Spray the runners down real good in all of your windows and sunroof. Your going to see a huge difference. Do it often and I'll bet your regulators will last a lot longer.
