I've got a '98 I'm planning to do some work with (audio equipment and related, mostly), but I'm having trouble tracking down a copy of the wiring schematic for the C5 model (that's what a 1998 is, right?). Do I have to get this sort of thing from Audi?

 

The '98 is a C5 and my Bentley Service Manual covers '98 to '04 (the C5's) with over 250 wiring diagrams. Don't attempt any DIY without it (or similar manual/DVD).

 

So I would probably have to go to Audi for that sort of thing?

Know if Service Manuals tend to be costly?

 

My Bentley Audi A6 Service Manual, covering all A6's from 1998 to 2004 (C5) was $ 99 direct from the publisher, Bentley (check the web), but I paidabout $ 75on Amazon.com, it's now $ 62.97 here http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...service+manual.
In the year I've had it, it's paid for itself over and over.
