I am in the market for an Audi A7, and would really like to know what these cars are like to run. Cost of servicing, how reliable, they are, pros and cons etc etc..

I was originally looking at the A5 Sportback S-Line, but after sitting in one they are not very spacious, and i am 6ft3, so the A7 looks like the obvious choice.

Any advice from current / past owners will be greatly appreciated.

me from an A5 Coupe which was fine unless you have rear passengers of an adult size (I have 3 year old twins) so for me when I swapped from my A5 3.0tdi Quattro to my A7 3.0Tdi Quattro my mpg (Both have been mapped to a5 was 298bhp and A7 is 315bhp) is better servicing is about the same.
The A7 is huge in comparison and a far superior car in my eyes.

My wife said I nailed it on the head when she asked how I liked it and I said I don't miss the A5.
Tyres were more expensive as wide 265/35/20 on my car but this would depend on the model you buy extras etc...

only thing for me that will be more expensive is I have to get the auto box oil swapped (Manual prior on A5).

So in all not much difference bud from A5 but smooth as glass and I would say get VCDS or get friendly with someone who has it.
