Interesting that the ambient temperature determines if the squeaks are present.

Last winter I reported the noise to the local Audi Dealer (Bommarito in St. Louis). My service writer, Tim, said that beyond the annoyance this caused no structural issue. He also quoted a price of 1K+ to have them fix it. Everything seems to be in 1K increment with these guys.

While changing the air filter I noticed the rubber on the front engine mount is cracked around the circumference.

It appeared that the replacement, at least for this one would be fairly straight forward.

Before I tackle this on my own does anyone have any experience here?

I'm curious how many other mounts the car has and how difficult it will be change them as well.
