Hello I recently purchased a 2001 A8L and I want to install the LATCH system to connect my child car seats. However I am getting conflicting information related to the LATCH kit part number ZAW269005 working on the A8 but not the A8L. Also on http://www.thecarseatlady.com/vehicl..._system_9.html. Maybe they say it wont work because of the lumber support on the a8l? Has anyone installed the LATCH Kit on the A8L.

 

I have had the rear seats out in my A8L, everything involving the lumbar support is tucked away good into the backrest. I can't imagine that the lumbar support would have any thing to do with your install. I say go for it.
