RE: 2003 A8 Brake rotors
Factory parts are gonna be your best bet there, i don't even think Stasis engineering makes a set of aftermarket pads and rotors for the A8. Check with Hans or AWD, i hear they are the guys to talkto about goodies for the older body A8 stuff.

RE: 2003 A8 Brake rotors
I've got SP's, drilled & slotted, front & rear, on my '99, and non-ceramic pads.
Slotted is a somewhat ambigious feature, for a street car, but, because of the nature of the environment in which I do most of my driving. The additional function of "sweeping" the pads clear of dust or moisture, several times per rotation while braking, helps in the BRUTAL stop&go of downtown DC driving, where you may have to come down to ZERO from highway speeds of 50-60, or better, several times/mile, several times/commute...
I've learned that ceramic pads and drilled rotors DO NOT live happily together. Ceramic pads tend to resist heat (generating heat is how your braked convert your forward momentum into stopping energy), which has to go SOMEWHERE. That somewhere endsup being your rotors. That heat can/will cause stress fractures around teh edges of teh openings in the "drill-holes" of your rotors.
Got my curent setup from: http://www.raceshopper.com/ They've got great tech-support. The guy there (sorry, don't remember his name) was very patient with me, explaining all the crap I just told you, above, and more) asked me about my car, the type of driving I do, and recommended the setup I now roll with. it the website, get the number, give 'em a call...
