Question 2010 Audi A8L parking brake release

I have a dead car and need to have it towed. It is totally dead - no dash lights, no nada. The key sticks in the ignition (I know how to release). I took out the ashtray to release from park, and it is now in neutral. But I can't find out how to release the electric parking brake. I read of an emergency release under the driver's side floor mat, but under the mat is nothing. Is it under the carpet? How do I get there? Is there a way to tow with PB engaged?

They are electric so there is no way of releasing them other than dismantling the motor/gears off the caliper and winding the caliper piston where the motor spigot engages or by applying 12v & >15Amps to the power pins on the plug. The only cars with EPB and manual emergency release are some old models of Land Rover Discovery and some old models of Renault Espace. This is because they had a motor thet winched in traditional handbrake cables.

Default Did you get it released?

Did you get this figured out? It seems to me that I would attach jumper cables to dead battery and press the release button...
