Default disable the parking sensor

does anyone know if you can disable the parking sensor? I asked the dealer to turn it down as low as possible but it still annoys me. The dealership told me you can't disable it. Is that true?
thx

might want to see if you can disable the feature with the vag-com tool. Check out the vag-com forum on audiworld

I thought there was a way to turn it right off you might have to search in the MMI system maybe looking in your owners manual for this I though I remember seeing something before

Pardon my ignorance but what is the MMI system?

The only thing that the owners manual mentions is the button you can push on the dash to temp disable the system. Thats what I do but every time you put the car in reverse it enables it again.

I asked the dealer to lower the volume to its lowest setting but its still too loud. The dealer told me that they were unaware of how to completely turn the system off. I wish that there was a fuse or something that I could just disconnect.

I'm thinking of trying to cover up the speakers to it but they seem to be buried in the dash.

I have the same issue when I have the bike rack mounted. Rather than disable the sensor, I just cut out a paper (thick, cardboard-like) and tape over the sensors and it worked.
