Hello to the board,

Have owned numerous A8s in the past,, and currently came across a 2015 low mileage Tdi..priced right.
Would like to get some input on this engine, as well as fuure value considring the recent VW drop in book value

Currently all diesel engines are on halt, there's no doubt that Diesel engines are more re efficient and last longer; that's why all the big 18 wheelers are Diesel engines, they travel across country and able to haul and town and stand heavy duty use. Back to the original question, I had a client with an 04 08 came in and traded that for a A8 TDI, not only that he didn't notice any loud noise but he was also happy about how the engine performed. Like I mentioned, they are great strong engines, it's a matter of preference. Good luck with your TDI shopping.
