Anyone know how to get out the rear seat in a 1st generation A8?

Default RE: 97 A8 Rear Seat Problem

It's very simple. Look under the bottom cushion on each side. Look very close at the carpet under each seat. There is a square cut out that you pull back. Under that cut out you will find a phillips head screw. There are 2 of them. Remove both and the whole seat will lift out. I had a really bad smell from the back seat after I purchased my 99. For about 8 hours straight I looked at the seat and found the two screws. Found all kinds of baby food items stuck in there. Smell is all gone now. While your in there fix those darn head rest if there not working!
