D2 A8 starts, runs, then dies HELP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, Had the 8 parked for about 2 weeks awaiting rear break parts. Had been started and ran it several times. Got my parts, put them on, bled the caliper, put it together....blah blah.. Started it up to test drive, put in reverse, 5ft later, just dies. No stutter, no running badley, just dead. Trying to restart right after it dies and it just cranks over and over, does not even attempt to run.
If you let it sit for 10 mins or so, it will once again start right up, and run great, then die. Again, no stutter, just dead. almost like i turned the key off.
There is no cel or any other light on the cluster when its running. When it dies, only the battery light stays on.
If I continue to try and start after it dies (cranking over and over again with no start) the oil light pops on ( i did check the oil) but I almost assume that has to do with the coninous cranking without a start.....or maybe not.
Checked the ecu for moisture....seems fine.
Any thoughts?
This car has 124k, and has never once died.
