Default Brake fluid question

I have a 2005 A8l Audi that has a red "brake" light that intermittently flashes and beeps, which I believe means that I am low on brake fluid. Question: does the Audi 45ooo mile service include topping off all fluids?

Also, I bought Castrol brake fluid which reads that it "exceeds all Dot 3 and4 specifications". Can I add this fluid without harming my car (in other words, does the brake fluid thats already inside my car have to be the same as the one I add?). Auditech, please feel free to chime in with your obviously superior knowledge base.

Mario

All of the services include topping off fluids. Its very posible the brake light is on due to low brake fluid. The type of fluid should be printed on the cap for the brake fluid reservoir. Itll be dot 3 so the stuff you have will work fine. There is a screen in the reservoir that will make fluid gather in the top. You may need to use a screwdriver to pry in between the screen and the reservoir to get fluid to flow past the screen.

Check the brake pads, when worn past a certain thickness a sensor is tripped.
