Default Convenience window feature

Good afternoon Audi Forums. I am trying to utilize the window down feature in my car, the windows will go down but they will not go up with the feature, I also notice the sunroof does not open nor is there an option in the MMI to turn the roof on for the Convenience feature. Thanks for your help!

Assuming you mean from the remote via the VCDS mod:

I have to lock with remote, and then press and hold for them to go up.
It's a little trickier for some reason than putting them down.

My sunroof is the same and there is no option in MMI.
It's because I (we?) have an older version of MMI.

Assuming you mean from the door switch:

Do not think they go up with the switch, but can't recall trying anything other than convenience down.

Thanks for the info jakematic, I was referring to the just using the driver door window switch as it explains in the MMI manual and the owners manual but the only thing that works is the down feature.

Also, what exactly is the VCDS mod? Thanks for your help.

Are you referring to the one-push down and one-pull up feature on the window switches of the drivers door panel?

Aha! The master switch assembly needs to be replaced. I just had that done about 7 months ago. Only the Driver's window stopped working correctly. All other windows worked fine. The driver's window would go auto-down OK, but not auto-up.

My extended warranty covered the repair but here are the details:
(Mine's a 2005 A8L and these are the prices the dealer charged the warranty company)
Master Window Switch Part# 4E0-959-851-C-5PR SWITCH $68.50
Labor: 1.5hrs $180.00

Hope that helps. Good luck.

I'm 99% sure they only go down when you use the driver side control.

Just checked mine at lunch and it says "Convenience Open" in MMI.

Mine go down, but don't come back up.
You can use VCDS (VAG-COM) to make the remote do that though.

Thanks for the info Jakematic. How much for a VAG-COM
