Does anyone know of a transmission repair shop in the New England/New York area? I had 2 A8s I just sold the 1998, the tranny was
hunting like crazy and fluid/filter changes didn't help. The 1997 which was running fine stopped shifting all together in my driveway.
I had seen a thread on this site from other A8 owners that had their transmissions fixed at a reasonable price at a place in New York
that specializes in Audi transmissions. If anyone has contact info it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and by the way my wife is
loving her 2006 MDX!

 

When I owned my '93 BMW 740, I had the transmission rebuilt at European Exchange in Hackensack, NJ. It would be worth a look. They seem to work on all of them.

 

heard about that sometimes it the selenoids in the tranny that don't work anymore so they don't shift at all
