Am going to need a belt around this time next year. Am wondering if a guy with " really good mechanical " skills ( that would be me, but I've gotten lazy in my old age ) could do a belt/pump/tensioner install. Be honest, should I just spend the money at the local Audi garage ??

 

You can get the timing belt kit from www.ecstuning.com or the dealer.
You also need a Bentley manual so you know what all the specs are, for special tools you will need the cam lock bar and crank holder.
If its your first time, it should take you most of a weekend to do it, the whole front end has to come off just about.
