Default EDR - Event Data Recorder

EDR is a type of ' black box ' that records 10 seconds prior air bags deploying and 1 seconds after. They say that it is being used for air bag research but also at the same time it has been used to convict certain people in certain cases.

My question is do the A8 L's have them? The cars being as electronically sophisticated and ahead of the curve it would only make sense to use them.

Pretty much all audis have them. That info is all stored in the airbag control module when the bags are triggered. Almost all the manufacturers have some memory functions build into the airbag control module.
