Easy lol.
No it's actually a very expensive and difficult upgrade. Regardless I like the look of the older style much more than the facelift. I like the smaller grill real estate.

Agreed...no offense to those who like it, but the newer Audi/Vw grills look to me more like the evolution of the Edsel than a German design.
I prefer the timeless understated look of D2 & early D3 design.

lltek.com has a facelift upgrade kit available - outrageously expensive, IMO. I also agree with Brozee and Silverd that the original look of the D3 is much better than the later model years. IMO the newer grille makes the A8 look way too much like an A6 - FTL.

WOW that is expensive, I really need to decide what I want then.
I thought it would just be a quick change of the bumper and grill.

aside from the front end what are the other differences between an 04 and say an 06?

Unless it's the FSI engine, there is no notable differences worth noting. The newer years include newer versions of the MMI. Make sure if your car is still under warranty to correct all the problems with the car. Instead of restating them look all around the forums. There are a few really expensive ones such as the tranny flush, timing belt procedure, etc.
