Compared to my mother's Mercedes S500 2005, my gas pedal seems ''harder'' to press. I know the mercedes has a drive my wire (electronic) gas pedal, and the audi has dbc (cable) gas pedal so maybe it's normal.. but just wondering. I checked and lubed the cable on the throttle body but didn't make any difference..



so just asking how 'hard' is your gas pedal ?

 

I definitely noticed it after buying my A8. It doesn't bother me though. I just got used to it. It actually causes me to be a bit heavy-handed (or is that heavy-footed?) when driving the wife's ride, and other cars. Not a big deal.

I guess it's to ensure that you're serious about wanting to gooooooo while driving these beautiful beasts!

 

Its always a little harder to push down a pedal thats driven by a cable, the cable in my truck is super taught.
Push a pedal in a DBW D3 A8 and you will immediately feel its much smoother.
