I would like to know if I should keep my Audi out of warranty when the time comes. I have the extended warranty until 100M or 8/09 whichever comes first. I guess the question is, am I farther ahead just keeping the car and hope I do not have any major repairs or turn the car in for another one. What has been the repair stats with this car over 100M miles. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hey my Brother, I drove a 98 A6 another 100k past the warranty period, that is 200k and after the initial spurt of trouble at about 75k every thing smoothed out and it was a terrific automobile until I bought my A8. That old A6 is still adorning the garage of one of my Sons and they love it.

I am a firm believer in doing all the required maintenance on a vehicle and if you do that you are not likely to have any really serious problem. If you look at the figures it is much cheaper to repair your old heap than to buy a new one. I think the only thing to consider is "do you still enjoy driving it".
