Default identifying broken hose

check engine light code read "air intake" something-er other. i took a look under the hood and lo and behold there is a hose snapped clean in 2.

i've attached a couple of pics to help describe which hose it is. can anyone tell me what kind of hose this is, what it does, and where i might be able to order one. or even better, could it be "patched" or put back together somehow?

it splits into several hoses a few inches down out of the site of the picture, so i don't know if i have to buy the whole thing, or just a piece.

i appreciate all of your help.

Thats just vacuum line mate, you buy that by the foot. A general rule of thumb is you replace all your vacuum lines every 100k, i would say you are beyond that.
If you don't fix a vacuum leak the engine will run lean and your gas mileage will go down the pooper.
