I spent hours looking for this and I am still lost. Please help


I have the AMI unit (4E0035785F) and I want to install in my Audi replacing the CD changer.

Question 1: Will this fit my car? I was told by the person who sold it to me that it will, but I just want to make sure here.

Question 2: Will I need a software upgrade on my MMI unit. I can't find what is the minimum version that I need to make this AMI unit work. If yes... where do I buy the software upgrade?

Hi, When I fitted AMI to my 2005 A8, I installed it next to the CD changer (to the right). There's no need to remove the CD changer, and furthermore, you'll need it to do the MMI upgrade (which should be done after installing the AMI, as it'll update the firmware of the AMI system too). The disks can be bought off eBay for around £20-30. The most recent version of software is 5570.

I can post the fitting instructions if you didn't get them with the AMI unit?
