Default Just bought A8 4.2 sport

After 13 years of owning & driving a Vauxhall Senator, I Have Just bought An Audi A8 4.2 quattro Sport.

I can't believe the difference, I thought the Senator had power combined with grip & comfort, but it is completly outclassed by the Audi.

I know there are 13 years between the cars (both bought at 3 years old) but they are worlds apart.

Everyone I spoke too before buying the Audi, said "Don't buy one, you will never be out of the petrol station". well guess what, they were wrong. around town, it does use a bit more petrol, but on motorways & open roads the Audi beats the Senator on MPG everytime.

It has got to be the best car I have ever owned & intend to keep it as least as long as the Senator.

what year? Yes I totally agree, A8 look so elegant and classy, can't wait until the new one comes out. I notice europeans are very fuel consumption conscious. I think its funny that Americans are complaining about rising gas prices, yet most of the world is paying more than double what we do. I buy premium, 93 octane for $1.67 ($1.75 normal, 8cents off certain days).

Firestarter1984, Thank you.

BoostedA4, It was first registered in January 2000 & has 45000 miles on the clock, just one owner before me.

I use super unleaded fuel (98 octane) at 79.9pence per litre(about £3.53 per gallon) I am getting about 14 MPG around town, 28/32 MPG at 70 MPH & 38/42 MPG AT 60MPH. I would not complain at all if I were paying the same price for fuel as you.

I don't like the styling of the new A8, (it might grow on me) I wouldn't mind having a test drive of the 6 litre W12 though.
