Default LED DRL on a 2005 A8L?

Just got my first Audi, 2005 A8L and it's great so far. I was thinking of adding some LED strip lights along the bottom of the grille. I did some looking around and many people are saying that it looks like cheap s..t, unless you get OEM or HELLA. I found something that I think would look great, either LEDayLine or LEDayFlex by HELLA on www.daytime-running-light.com what do you guys think?

Did anyone actually try to retrofit them for an A8? Will it throw fault codes? Does anyone here know if I can install the OEM led strips from new Q7 on my A8?

I think it would look nice if you put them where the the fog lights go. So if you placed a strip in-between one of the black slats it would look nice.

I don't think it would throw an error code because your hooking it up to basically positive and negative, just making sure it turns off and on with the car. Try it out and let us know, as I have no experience whatsoever with electrical or wiring of any sorts.

Those look great but do you know where you can buy them and how to install them?

ECStuning.com has the installation instructions posted for the Hella LEDayFlex, which include detailed dimensions. Should be able to determine easily enough if they fit in one of the grill slats next to the fog lights. I've been eyeing them for a little while. Looks like a nice product.

Where is it that you connect the feeds of the wires to? Just somewhere in the engine bay? And you said it has the dimensions, will it fit in one of the fog light grill slats?
Edit:
The Hella ones are much too expensive, the ones I'm questioning on how to install is the JOM ones. Only $50, won't look as nice as the hella ones but oh well.

The Hella flex are a lot of money, but i love the fact that you can configure them to not just be in a straight line. price does seem excessive but i havent seen any others like that and at least they will be legal

Excessive yes, I'm second guessing getting these now, I really don't see cops pulling over an A8 regarding what they think is "illegal" DRL's though. Unless their crazy bright and flashing purple lol.

i dont think the cops will notice either, specially if you make them look as factory as possible, but they could fail an MOT test. i was thinking by the fogs as well.
