I've found references suggesting the G200 sensor in the 02+ A8 is below the radio. Can anyone confirm whether the 2001 has it in the same location?

 

Yes, it is under the radio.

Yeah that was the one I found, and am hoping someone can confirm the 01 is the same before my buddy tears the console apart. It would make sense that it'd be there in the 01 as well or they'd have to have different internal wiring harnesses for the two cars, which cuts into Audi's profits.

He seems to have taken everything apart at one time or another
