MMI Problems after driving over steel road plates
Need Help!!!
Last night I was driving down the street about 35 to 40 MPH...didnt see any warning signs for up coming hazard....there were high steel plates in the road where underground utilities were being installed/ repaired. Before I could slow down I went over the plate very hard, my CD paused and the MMI system froze and then attempts to reset itself after about 2 miniutes or so (noticed the clicking sound in rear speaker area over and over)...to no avail so after many attempts, it couldnt initiate the MMI so the screen stayed extended and blank as well as the MMI controls were no longer lighted. I tried disconecting the battery, didnt work, also left it disconnected over night still the same problem remains,
I did noticed this morning when connceting the battery that the battery was not secure as it should be and had alot of play...I am wondering if the battery hit a component in the area that initiates the MMI system? Any suggestion? Thanks for your help.
