Default New (to me) 03 A8L owner - 26k miles, can't wait!!

I had bought (with a credit card deposit) an A6 4.2 on Friday - I nixed the deal after driving an A8L yesterday. WOW, what a car, I've been looking for a car to replace my 540 BMW for the last 2 months or so. I've driven everything from new Nissan Maximas, Avalons, MB E-class, older S-Class cars, etc. I then started reading some of the entries in this forum, I then went to my local Audi dealer to drive a Crystal Blue 4.2 A6 - I was in love with the car - HATED THE COLOR - but since it was a $23k CPO'd car, it was the best deal I could find by far. Yesterday I decided to drive down to Northbay Imports in CT to see what they had, I heard these guys had a pretty good selection of nice, one owner Audi's - wow - they sure did, about 100 of them... I saw this georgous 26k mile 03 A8L and had to drive it - they let me take the car for about 30 minutes (ALONE) - that was all I needed... hope to pick it up Tuesday/Wednesday of this week. I look forward to contributing to the forum as I get into mild mods on my cars... I have a few questions...

1.) Have you all joined the Audi Club? What discount do you get off parts?
2.) Are there any websites you can point me to to get specs on wheel fitment on the A8's? I'm looking to upgrade the wheel/tire combo in the Spring and use the current wheels/tires for the winter. I like the S8 wheel since it's 'period correct' for my 03. Do the wheels off the newer A8's fit my 03? Some are VERY nice looking...
3.) What type of performance mods can these cars accept w/o taking away everyday drivability? Chips?

That's all for now - thanks!!

Picked up the car Tues PM, drove it 900 miles the first day - (Boston to Rochester, NY and back...) this car is magic...

Happy Holidays to everyone - drive safe....

Good deal, that's a better story then when I picked up my A8. I attempted to drive from Fla to CT, broke down in Virginia and was stuck for two days (fuel pump relay). Oh well, that was 3.5 years ago and I'm still driving it

BTW, who's smarter than you hanging onto 3 muscle cars for that long??

Funny thing is, this A8 is faster than any of them... including the Hemi... not as quick, but faster...
