oil or mud?
awdaholic, cold are intakes are mostly sound if you don't get a tune. plus for the best power , the exhaust has to free up. i know theres no headers for these cars but maybe freeflow cats with larger exhaust diameters. the tune is the key. i would love to get a tuner to tweak this motor! i bet most of the horsepower the rs4 or s6's get are from factory versions of what i just discribed!
Nah, I got a joint bookmarked (on one of my computers, hafta consolidate, sooner or later), that moda an RS6 Exhaust to fit the SWB D2/3's. Costs, like 1800.00, so it goes snd to last, just before the motor gets chipped. Duals for my D2 will look sweet, but I also gotta factor in the cost of a new rear valance, too. And, since I'm doing THAT, might as well get sides & front, right. All - in - all, I figure that the last BIG part will set me back about 5K, but, by then I should be able to afford it
After that, if I'm still in a modding mode, maybe find someone to TT or S/C it... Wish I cud afford to put a 6MT in it, but...

from what i've learned about changing anything with newer cars, getting a chip is ok for what that chip has been tested for, an intake etc... but anything more means a labtop with software designed to be able to hack into the audi's computer. the way i'd like to go is to find a totaled rs6 and pull out the turbo's and the brain or better, an aftermarket s/c, turbo and nothing else. cause the s/c manufacturer will have my cars brain calibrated perfect to whats being changed with my fuel to air ratio's etc...freeing up your exhaust may lean out your fuel enough to burn pistons. i did all these with my 05 gto.s/c, headers, exhuast, suspension etc... my custom tune yielded another 42 h.p. at the rear wheels!
