Both my remotes do not work when I try to unlock the car, the moment it has been outside in the rain for a couple of hours. The dealer told me there are no fault codes stored in the computer, and hence they cannot resolve the issue.

Any suggestions on what the problem may be ? Any help appreciated !

Does the car still run when you open it manually? My '04 died because dealer failed to clean out windshield drains during servicing and water got in and fried the ignition module.

 

Car works fine after I open it manually. After a 5 minute drive the remotes work as well. I do want to check the drains. Where are they exactly, and how do you clean them ? THANKS!
