I just had my 65k service and I was told I need new bushings at all 4 corners. Is this typical?

Are you sure you don't mean wheel bearings? My '04 A8L was a CPO so my frontwheel bearingswere replaced under warranty recently. Sounded and felt like gravel was in my wheel bearings. Very load grinding noise and noticeable while driving on highway. Dealer replaced front right wheel bearing. Took car back a couple of weeks later and had dealer replace front left bearing also. No issues with rear bearings. Had about 52,000 miles on it.
