quick question I hope, vag-com throwing 17831 and 17819. Did this about a year ago and I replaced my SAI pump which had failed with a pulled pump. Now its back but the pump appears to be working. I can hear it whining, and when disconnect the lines it seems to be putting out lots of air.

Is it possible its not enough air? can these partially fail?

Since the codes are for both banks is there any other component in this system that would cause both banks to report bad?

In addition to the SAI replacement this car has had new spark plugs (i figure at 180k why not?) new front 02 sensors and a new MAF in the last 18 months.
