Default Tire Help

I am on my third set of tires in three years. The problem is that I am not wearing them out, they are just cupping and making the car very loud. I have tried Michelin Pilots, Falcons and Bridgestones. I don't think it is the tires, I think it is the way the car is setup. The tire people said it was because car was out of alignment. I had that corrected, but the results are the same. I only put about 5-8 thousand miles on these summer tires. Any help are input would be much appreciated.

Default Tire Help

I will assume that you have the 19" tires, but I had a similar situation with my car. I think the "stock" tire is part of the problem due to the fact that it is a low production tire. I went with a Yokahama Advan S4 tire, 245/45R19 and have had great success. Alignment really helped too!

The tires look good, and perform great. I think I put 50K+ on my last set!!!

I agree, these tires are great. I have had them for 6 months now and no problems. Handle great and the ride is great. Just bit pricey but well worth the money.

Thank you. That is a great explaination of what is happening. I believe it is cupping. Now, I think it will take a very good mechanic to figure out what worn parts need to be changed. I loved my Pilots, but were too expensive to change every year. I think I will try the Yoko's like was suggested.
