I have a 98 - A8 with a 4.2. The car lost low beam headlight, so i changed the bulb, but it didnt correct the problem. Can anyone help me troubleshoot the problem to determine if it is the ignitor or something else.
Any help would be appreciated.

 

I don't believe halogen bulbs have ignigtors. Xenons aren't generally available on '98 D2's. Do the high-beams work? If so, I'd say you've got a blown headlight relay. Is it both sides, or just L/R?

Have you taken a multi-meter to the connectors, to see if you have a loose wire?

 

It is only on the right side, i checked the fuses but that is it
