Then your probably have a faulty wheel sensor or antenna.

 

There was also a flash to reprogram some part of the tire pressure monitoring. Dont remember the exact details.

 

do you know if star certi/f warranty covers this?

 

i am also looking for a vag com , so i can do dignostic my self....i thought i bought a good vehicle i hope i don't have to trade this one in it's only got 83,000kilo. by the way when do you thing i should get the tim/belt done?

 

A tire pressure problem hardly makes it a bad vehicle, i got news for ya. The tire pressure monitoring on ALL manufatures cars suck.
The timing belt should be done around 80k so your due. Due the water pump and thermostat while the T belt is off.

 

do if this covered under star/cert warranty?
i need a vag com , any suggestions , i have the c.d manual from bently.

The TPMS is one of the hardest systems to diagnose, on the A8 its much easier (thank god) because it has four antennas instead of one, which should pinpoint which wheel sensor is malfunctioning for you.
Go through either self diagnosis or guided fault finding the module (tyre pressure monitoring) should have a fault stored in it, post which fault code it has stored in the module.
It won't be covered under certified warranty because its considered a wear item because of the battery life in them. Its gay i know.

hopefull i'll take the car to the dealer and let them fix it....but i have to drive to audi dealer in toronto, a guess the one where i bught the car paffaf audi in vaughn ,
they have been good to me so far.
is their any other way i can check this out?...i am looking for a vag com ...any suggestions. ????

 

There isn't any other way to diagnose the system, one thing you can do is slowly release the pressure at each wheel to see if it trips the warning light, but thats not reliable and if it has a malfunction it might not show a tire losing air.
