Since a few weeks the automatic trunk lid malfunctions. It does unlock from inside or with the remote but it does not open completely. It opens for about one inch but the lid does not lift and needs a little pull then it opens. Automatic closing is not a problem.
I lubricated all joints and what ever moving part I found in the back was the problem still persists, any ideas?

There is an updated motor that will fix this problem.

 

I too am having problems with my trunk. Haven't been able to find any solutions. Have you had any luck?

I own an A4 2006. The problem is the trunk wont latch if it is cold or wet outside. And with it being in Oregon, that is like 90% of the time.
