3.0 TDI reprogram for emissions
Hello,
We sold back our 2011 Q7 3.0 TDI to Volkswagen of America last year. Even though we loved that car, the amount we would be getting made more sense. We decided to buy a Honda Pilot. Now less than a year later, we really miss the Q7.
I found a 2015 Q7 TDI that has low miles and is a Prestige with air suspension. I can't get an answer from the dealer that is selling it, but I would like some feedback from anyone who owns a tier-2 3.0 that has been reprogrammed. This is 2013-2015 models.
How does your Q7 drive after the reprogram? Power, acceleration, fuel mileage? We are seriously considering going back to a Q7 TDI, but want to make sure we will still love that engine.
Thanks,
Ron

You will loose about 1mpg. Not much power loss. The Addblue system will use a bit more fluid during service but audi covers a free top off between services. The engine may also sound a little bit louder. All in all most people say they didn't notice much of a difference. Should have just been like that from the start.
