A few thing everyone needs to know is........... that LOOP only completes the MMI circuit so that it powers up. You still will not have any sound without an amplifier.

Also the majority of failure for the Bose Amp on the Q7 is from a water leak from the rear sunroof drain hose. You need to inspect the amp and the mounting tray for signs of dried up water or water spots, something of the sort. If there is you need to replace the drain hose before replacing the amp or else it will happen again.

Lastly you can replace the amp but you can't activate it. The amp will come with component protection which needs to be removed before it will work properly. The dealer can only do this

Can the component protection be completed with the VAG or do I have to take it to the dealer?
If the dealer, does this have to be done before or after I install the replacement amp?
Thanks
