the manual says not to use a weight distribution hitch- seems crazy but why. I have the question in to Audi Canada but have not heard back yet. The trailer I'll tow will only be 2500 lbs top weight with electric brakes

 

My 2015 TDI tows quite well with out any special attention other than standard towing package.

My usual tow is a 21 foot Wellcraft and it follows along quite nice and for the most part I have to look in the mirror to make sure it is still there. I would estimate that boat and trailer will weigh in at around 4,000 which is far less than the recommended weight.
