I wonder if anyone can help... I have had a few problems with the battery going flat, (it's not that old) a quick jump start and it's okay, however a couple of days ago the car started making a tapping sound (on the passenger side) I took it into an Audi specialist who put the computer on it but nothing came up. The car is running okay just making a loud tapping noise. Any ideas?

 

What year & trim? Does the tapping occur at idle or all engine speeds? Does it occur while stationary or moving? Does the rate of tapping change with engine rpm or wheel speed? How frequent is the tapping....a couple times/second.....faster? Slower? Does it sound like valve tappets in the engine? Yeah, I'm asking a lot of questions, but it's impossible to speculate on your problem without a better description of what's happening, thanks
